Swiss Ski School

Established in 1932, the Ecole Suisse de Ski (ESS) has taken care of skiers of all levels for over 75 years. For the past 20 years, ESS Director Luc Défago has lead his team of instructors who have taught skiers, snowboarders, freeriders and telemarkers with personal attention and professionalism that made the ESS one of Champéry's leading tourism institutions for generations. Within walking distance to the Téléphérique, you'll find the one of the most appreciated piste in the entire Portes du Soleil, otherwise known as the ESS Kids Club, with its tunnels, jumps, bumps and hoops as well as warm-up cabin for tired toddlers and aspiring ski stars. As a member of the Swiss Snow League, on Fridays the ESS hosts a prize awards ceremony for every child who participates in their weekly program. Apart from offering private lessons, the ESS also provides group lessons which are ideal for both children and adults who prefer to learn among others of similar ability and meet new people as part of the fun.
